SERVICE TECHNICIAN/INSTALLER
Our sign company is currently looking to hire a full or part time technician to service commercial signs and lighting. Bucket/ladder truck operation, sign industry or electrical knowledge is beneficial.
Requirements: Excellent driving/safety record, energetic, positive personality
Duties:
Install, Service and Maintain Signs and Commercial Lighting
Examples:
Troubleshoot problems, change lamps, ballast, sockets, wiring etc. in existing signs or commercial lighting, install new sign structures, drive and operate crane and ladder trucks, trailers and skid steer, use basic power tools & hand tools, set up software and communication for LED displays and scoreboards, fabricate sign materials as needed, and apply vinyl graphics to signs
Qualifications:
Excellent driving record, CDL or willing to obtain CDL if necessary. Have knowledge of electrical circuits and components. Basic constructions skills, basic computer skills, knowledge of computer hardware and communication cables and devices for LED displays (Message Center Signs & Scoreboards). People friendly personality and customer service skills; employee will be working directly with the customers at their business locations. Applicant must be comfortable working at heights up to 100’.
80% of work is outdoors year round. Typical schedule is four 10 hour days. Some weekends and evenings may be required, especially August through December. We are willing to train someone without a lot of experience as long as they have knowledge of basic electrical and construction fields and an excellent work ethic and desire to perform tasks at a high level.
